Film
the future

Short film contest
& fundraiser

An initiative by the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles, FILM THE FUTURE is an open call to all nationalities living in Los Angeles.

Our aim is to create an historic document, through the voices of all Angelinos, reflecting the sentiment of a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic community during these unprecedented Covid-19 times.

The film will be screened at a premier in a “new normal, social distancing approved” venue on July 2020 (date TBD).

All profits from ticket sales will be donated to supporting the local Latino restaurant and art communities. Latinos have been the worst affected by this pandemic.

Funds donated will be received and distributed by an upstanding organization, such as Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Covid Relief Fund and/or The Arts Emergency Relief Fund (RoundTwo) and/or Power of One Foundation, which has partnered with the Consulate General of Mexico in L.A. to bring food to people in need during this difficult situation.
